Psychiatrie Noord focuses on the 18-35 age group. This age range was established in consultation with health insurers.
You are insured with one of the following:

- Aon (limited treatment option)

Waiting time until intake: 7 days
Waiting time for treatment: 0 days (the treatment starts immediately after the intake)
- What does a treatment look like?
Treatment at The Student Psychiatrist consists of several phases.
1. the first phase is the diagnostic phase, in which the intake interview takes place, any additional diagnostics are carried out, a diagnosis is made and then a advisory appointment takes place. The treatment plan is discussed during the advisory.
2. after the advisory, the treatment phase begins, in which (a large part of) the treatment takes place in group form.
- What is a group treatment?
Group therapy offers a unique form of support in the form of peer support. Participants can encourage, hold each other accountable and support each other in achieving their goals. This can range from encouraging daily sobriety to providing emotional support during difficult times. Group counselling has been proven time and again to be effective in treating divergent disorders.
Although group therapy may initially seem scary and uncomfortable, after a while most patients experience it as a safe environment where you can find support from others and learn from each other.

- I need a repeat prescription, how can I get one?
You can request repeat prescriptions 24 hours a day and only through the website. Fill in all the requested fields and click submit. Your prescription will be ready at the pharmacy after 5 working days. So make sure that you request your repeat medication in time.
Please note: you must currently be in care at The Student Psychiatrist to be eligible for a repeat prescription via The Student Psychiatrist.
